Mohammad Nasrullah was born in Syracuse New, York and was raised in Honolulu,Hawaii. During his stay in the United States, he had received the name Moe and upon
arriving in Malaysia when was 15, Moe adopted the name 'Moe Nasrul' to pay homage to his Malay roots.
Originally starting his career in the classical music genre as a cellist, Moe had decided to transition to the Rock and Roll genre after learning the bass guitar. He was the co-founder and vocalist of the alternative rock band Six String Samurais from 2005 to 2007.
Moe had started his career in radio by being a Fly Fm Myvi trooper and had been promoted to FlyFM News and Traffic Presenter. He had also done numerous voice-over work for Fly Fm, Red Fm, 8TV, NTV 7,Uberman, Tune Talk, Air Asia Numerous Telco Radio Commericals and had become a regularly heard voice on the Malaysian Radio airwaves. In 2009 he had his own online radio show called Moe Nasrul's Rock Shack on Ruumz.fm which was in collaboration with the online Malaysian music download site called 2crank.com.
In 2010, He had formed a band called The Velvet Aces which played the Malaysian Hard Rock scene. Due to commitments to each individual members solo project the band mutually parted.
He is currently a
TV host for 8TV Nite Live and is working on his debut album as a solo artist.
